3×3 Groningen is the first 3×3 basketball club in the Netherlands. We’re a local home for the game in the North — for kids taking their first steps, players who love to compete for fun, and athletes chasing the highest level.

HOW IT STARTED
It started in 2025
3×3 Groningen was founded on 2 March 2025, out of a simple belief: the North deserves a real home for 3×3 basketball. From day one, the club was built to serve every level of the game — youth, regular, and pro.
THE FOUNDERS
Ata and Egor
Ata
Co-founder
I am Ata, 34 years old and based in Meerstad. My basketball journey started when I was 12 in the youth selection of Rotterdam, where I played until I was 21. After moving to Groningen, I played for Groene Uilen in the Promotiedivisie, where we became champions two years in a row. Coaching is in my genes; my father was also a coach, and my parents work in education. As a trainer, I have gained experience in several places, including multiple years as a coach at the RTC in Groningen and coaching the VU21 of Haren in the Eredivisie. I have also been giving clinics for years to share my passion for the game.
Egor
Co-founder
Hi, I am Egor. I started playing basketball in Italy, and over time my life has gradually become more and more connected to the game. Now, you can rarely see me without a ball, or a sack of balls, in my hands. Besides basketball, I love working with children. I have done over 100 hours of clinics all across the North of the Netherlands, and this experience made me believe there is something magical about working with kids. I hope I can do my part in building a better future for all the kids that live in our city.

Next Generation
Youth · Ages 8–15- Day

Regular Team
Recreational · Ages 17–35+- Day
- Mondays, 19:00–21:00 (may change — members get updates in our WhatsApp group)

- €30 per month or €150 for 6 months
