At 3×3 Groningen we believe the best thing we can build is the next generation. Our youth program gives children a place to learn basketball, grow as people, and become part of something bigger in the North. Building for the future is our core mission.
THE YOUTH PROGRAM
Learn the game, grow as a person
Next Generation is the youth side of 3×3 Groningen. Every week, kids train in two groups – beginner and advanced – so every child works at the right level. Training is structured and serious about development, but it stays fun. Alongside basketball skills, players build the things that last: confidence, teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.
WHO IT’S FOR
Ages 8 to 15 — beginners welcome
The program is open to children aged 8 to 15, boys and girls, with no experience needed. New players start in the beginner group and move up as they grow. Not sure it’s the right fit? Every child is welcome to up to two free trial classes before deciding. After that, players must become club members to keep training with us.
OUR CLUB
More than training
We create an environment that is safe but challenging, where kids are pushed to give their best and lift each other up. Every one of our coaches holds a VOG (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag), so your child is in good hands. Our culture is built on respect, and our phrase says it simply: work hard, work together.
We also believe kids should compete, not only train. We regularly organize small internal 3×3 tournaments, and we keep parents informed about tournaments held outside the club — in Groningen and in other cities across the Netherlands.
And from time to time we order our own 3×3 Groningen jerseys, so any child who wants one can order through us – right away or later on.
